A Hybrid working model
Once offices are fully open we will be moving to a hybrid working model, which will allow our employees to split their time between the office and other locations, something we hope will provide everyone much more flexibility to their working week. The expectation is that working life at Hogarth will involve working from the office for about 50% of the time for most people. Account Director
Our Account Directors bring value to our clients by analyzing, solving and presenting viable strategic production roadmaps and solutions to our clients. They identify new work streams and solutions that lead to client growth by drawing on Hogarth’s vast capabilities and understanding our global network. The Account Directors are valued advisors and partners to senior clients, as well as Agency partners at similar levels, who should be viewed as an extension of the client and their team. They need to have a thorough understanding of all areas of Hogarth/production services and be able to work in a flexible, fast-paced environment. They identify and champion great creative work, understand the importance of flawless delivery and are accountable for the successful management of their business. They are also strong leaders of teams who inspire others to act courageously.
Key Areas of Responsibilities
Growth and Account Planning
- Drives agency revenue growth by identifying profitable opportunities with clients and defining Hogarth scope of involvement from planning through delivery
- Formulates plans to manage and exploit opportunities to drive/extend client business and partnership
- Builds and maintains a client business development plan (per client) on an ongoing basis identifying specific opportunities and actions needed
- Partners with Director of Operations to manage all financial aspects of assigned accounts including development, review, and management of SOW, construction of fees, account reviews, profitability analysis, and utilization, as well as successful delivery of client requirements
- Monitors and communicates POV on current marketing and industry issues
- Supports new business activities
- Participates in industry functions to build new relationships and stay abreast of industry trends and innovations
Relationship Management
- Responsible for overall client engagement and relationship health
- Seen as a trusted advisor to Client on Hogarth’s Global capabilities
- Provides guidance and counsel to clients to help them achieve their business objectives, and develop the right production strategy
- Partners with clients and agencies to ensure a clear understanding of the production brief, deliverables, timeline and costs, in partnership with project management
- Helps set and manages expectations, as well as and troubleshoots issues as they arise
- Interfaces regularly with all client levels to understand dynamics, opportunities and potential solutions for clients
- Ensures a thorough understanding of the contractual obligations, commercial arrangements, and SLA’s across assigned accounts and ensure specific details are understood by the broader team
- Provides regular strategic insights to clients on a monthly or quarterly basis that focus on high-level strategy within Hogarth’s areas of production expertise. These may include Client Quarterly Business reviews, competitive analysis, market overviews, case studies, and strategy planning
Collaboration
- Demonstrates strong collaboration skills with internal teams, leveraging agency resources to effectively and seamlessly support client’s business, including production strategy development, financial management and quality of delivery
- Has a strong partnership with Operations Lead, Finance, Hogarth Production leads and SME’s
- Effectively navigates teams when there are conflicting priorities
- Informs and partners with Operations to help ensure optimized teams, workflow, delivery and financial health for their businesses
Management
- Works with clients (brands) and creative agencies to ensure a clear understanding of the production brief, deliverables and timeline for each project and relays those details to other members of the team as necessary
- Contributes and presents account and brand-level updates to Senior Management
- Mentors junior team interested in the account management path
- Understands client challenges for global production and presents potential opportunities to Hogarth’s global production teams and Hogarth.io to help identify innovative, cutting edge solutions
- Contributes to Hogarth Worldwide NY office agency culture by exhibiting ownership, professionalism, passion and leading by example
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in Client Services industry, with at least 3 years working in a creative agency environment
- Thorough understanding of client’s business and the competitive landscape to provide sound counsel
- Must be able to interact with Senior/Executive Management of the agency and client
- Expert client relationship skills including building relationships, presenting to clients, dealing with multiple stakeholders, and ability to think on your feet
- Fluent in production, with an understanding of the complex, fragmented media landscape and how to bring together cohesive programs and drive high quality, effective work for clients.
- An appreciation for how great work gets done and a commitment to ensuring creative excellence/output
- Strong communication skills, particularly with oral presentations
- Ability to make decisions and solve problems
- Proven ability to lead dynamic teams
- Strong negotiation skills
- Must be commercially astute and able to work in a fast-paced, fluid environment
